For about 7 weeks, my husband and I have been living in a town called Chelmsford, which is about 30 minutes outside of Boston. I went to check out the public library in my town, and was pleasantly surprised!
Front of the Chelmsford library
I stood in the mud to get a picture of that flag flying, but nooooooooooo. Every time I walked away, the flag flew, but not while I was standing there!
Collection of items found locally while using a metal detector – dorky, yet kind of cool too!
Part of the photography display
A quilt telling the town of Chelmsford’s story
Story tiles from children’s books – How many can you figure out?
Children’s room looks like it’s so much fun!
Tom Groves collected library cards from all over the country. . . more on his story soon!
They have a fantastic New Books section, too!!! There’s also a local authors bookshelf in the room.
The book that sucked up much of my time at the library. . . I already realized it was one I needed to own, not borrow from a library!
I guess small town libraries can be just a gorgeous as the big ones, and more unique!
What’s the most unique thing you have seen at a library?
Thanks for reading,
