Day 43 – Starting this tonight so I can make sure I’m finished before I go to see Ayana Mathis later this month!

Day 44 – The book that sucked up all of my time while at the Chelmsford Library! I am going to have to buy this one!

Day 46 – I tried oysters for the first time at dinner last night! Not bad, but I don’t think I can get past the consistency to order them ever.

Day 47 – I received this book last night to review, but when I opened it today, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the author had written me a nice message on the inside cover!

Day 48 – My dad sent me this picture of my first snow shoveling experience, probably right around the corner from me here in MA, where I was born. Certainly not when we moved to Florida!!! BTW, why do I look like a pink Hulk???
What were you up to this week?
Thanks for reading,

I can’t tell you how much I adore these posts
Look at you all bundled up, ADORABLE!
Thanks!!! My dad sent that to me yesterday since he knew about all the snow we’ve been getting, and he said it was my first snow shoveling experience. The outfit represents the decade well: the 80s!
I started “The twelve tribes of Hattie” last week, and the first chapters were really rough for me. It’s an EXCELLENT book so far, just the subject matter was tough. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I am so far.
I finished it! It was REALLY good! The way the book was written made it a little tougher for me to get into, too, but once I continued, it was well worth it! It’s a sad book for sure, and when I finished, I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I cried!
Because we ALL looked like multicolored Hulks at that age! I’m sure our parents loved it because it reduced our mobility by 90% to have us bundled up like that.
Haha! But then it was also probably miserable for them when five minutes after we were bundled up, we had to use the bathroom!
Hahaha the snow shoveling picture is adorable! And I love when authors sign the books they send out; it’s such a nice touch
It was a really nice surprise!
Rebecca, what breed is Tilly? She reminds me of Sprocket from Fraggle Rock…!
Tilly is a mutt. . . we know she’s part poodle. . . but we have no idea what else she is! We actually got her DNA tested but they came back with poodle (very realistic) and rottweiler. . . not sure where that one came from though! Every time she gets a little vicious or mad, we say it’s the rottweiler coming out.
She’s probably part terrier, and her coloring is schnauzer-like. . . but her tail is long and has long straight hair. We just basically have no idea!
Oh, and we also think she looks like the flying dog from The Never Ending Story!
Fun photo of you there
It’s great when you open a review book and the author’s signed it or written a note (or both in your case, it looks wonderful!) Hope you enjoy the Mathis event!
Thanks!!!!
I don’t eat seafood, but if you give me enough beer I will eat oysters. I’ve been to many oyster roasts and as long as I don’t have the snotty ones, they aren’t so bad. PS Pink is fetch!
Stop trying to make fetch a word, Gretchen!
(Mean Girls, if you didn’t know)
That fish looks SO YUMMY.
And hehehehe, you do look like a pink Hulk! How cute!
It was super yummy! It was crusted with fancy schmancy stuff from the grocery store!
So adorable!
That fish looks yummy, but you know what – I don’t like oysters either!
The fish WAS yummy! And yeah, I was glad I tried the oyster, but the sliminess and kind of chewiness of the oyster just wasn’t for me!
