Being a new blogger, only having started in July 2012, I’m pretty proud of my blog and myself from taking something from scratch and making a pretty successful blog.
How do I define success for my blog in 2012?
- Lots of visitors to my blog
- Lots of comments being posted
- Great book discussion going on
- Great friends being made through the blogging world
WordPress is an awesome blogging platform, and one of the things it did was create a 2012 Annual Report for Love at First Book. I thought I’d share it with you!
Click the firework picture below for the full “report” (which really is just some fun facts in a super easy-to-understand way)!
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 7,800 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 13 years to get that many views.

What are you proud of for 2012?

I really liked the annual report, especially the map that showed where people came from.
It really was a cool feature that WordPress offered, the annual report in general. I can see my statistics normally anyway, but I like that they made a report that made it easy to share with others.
Congratulations! I haven’t figured out how to make one of these, but I will try! It looks like you have had an amazing year (and you deserved it!)
WordPress did it for me! Do you have the option maybe on your dashboard?
I looked but can’t find it. I will have to look again tomorrow.
Loving the report, so colourful and fun to read, how long did it take to set up? You have done incredibly well
WordPress actually put it together for all of its bloggers! So it was just a matter of making it public.
Thank you!
I am so glad you started your blog so that I can get connected. happy new year to you and looking forward to your many stories in 2013!
Thank you!
And actually, I made your carrot side dish recipe again for New Years! It’s something I am going to start incorporating into our meals. Well, not all of them of course, but more often!
Yay! I am so happy to know and glad it works for you
Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate it.
My husband thanks you also. He was like, can we make these carrots a lot???
He is most welcomed and I am glad he loves it
Great job on your bloggy blog, and I love the report too! Here’s to an even more successful 2013 for you. Keep on keepin on, Rebecca!!
Thanks Kendra!!!! Gosh, I miss hanging out with you at work!!!
I miss you too! Everyone at work does!!
And I miss Jump Start! That was really fun! Remember when I thought you were mad at me, but it was just that you were bothered by you-know-what??
We missed you at Jump Start too! I do remember!! Thanks for your help with that. =D
Hm. Why was your blog not on my reader??? I see you all the time on twitter and I was sure I was following your blog…! But apparently not … Well, now I do!
I have no idea because your blog is on mine!
I’ve definitely had that happen to me before, so I completely understand!
